Recently, the Global Economic and Legal Cooperation Council (GELCC) and the China Industry Academic Expert Committee (CIAE) officially signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. Both sides will integrate international economic and legal governance resources and high-level expert think tank networks to jointly promote the improvement of the global economic governance system and innovation in cross-border legal coordination.
The Global Economic and Legal Cooperation Council, as an international non-profit organization, has long been committed to promoting the rule of law, rule convergence, and capacity building in developing countries to address global challenges such as climate change and financial risks. The headquarters of the China Industry Academic Expert Committee is located in Hong Kong, China, gathering renowned experts and scholars from various fields to create a talent pool of innovation and entrepreneurship experts. It is committed to helping think tank experts achieve further breakthroughs in their abilities from a higher level and a wider range of fields.
According to the agreement, both parties will focus on the following areas of cooperation: firstly, jointly conducting research on legal rules in cutting-edge fields such as digital economy and green investment, promoting the convergence of international standards; Secondly, jointly providing legal and technical assistance and training to developing countries to enhance their institutional capacity to participate in global economic governance; The third is to promote the integration of sustainable development values such as human rights and environmental protection into the international economic legal framework, and advocate for inclusive economic globalization.

Mr. Tao Jianguo, the rotating chairman and secretary-general of the Global Economic and Legal Cooperation Council, stated that both sides will work together to build a more resilient, fair, and transparent global economic and legal environment, and help achieve effective governance of global public resources.
