The Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kaewkamol Karen Pitakdumrongkit has been appointed as an Executive Director of the PECC International Secretariat from January 1, 2026.

        Dr. Pitak Dum Rongji will serve as a temporary staff member from February 2025Secretary-GeneralDuring this period, we actively promoted PECC's work in regional cooperation and policy dialogue. Her appointment was made after the recognition of the PECC Executive Committee.

        Dr. Pitadum Rongji's title has been changed to Executive Director, but her responsibilities remain unchanged: she will oversee the operation of the International Secretariat, support the implementation of PECC projects, and promote cooperation between member committees and partners in the Asia Pacific region.

        Throughout 2025, Dr. Pitak DumRongji actively represented PECC at various meetings and related activities of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). She participated in the Qingzhou APEC SOM I, Jeju SOM II, Incheon SOM III, and Qingzhou APEC Economic Leaders Week, engaging in discussions to support stronger policy coordination and regional cooperation. She also attended the ISEAS Singapore APEC Research Center seminar on "APEC 2025: Challenges and Opportunities" and presented the results of the PECC Regional Status Report 2024-2025.
